Conference in Jerusalem

Last night was one of the best here so far! All of the Jerusalem Branch watched conference together. The first session started at 7, and the next one at 11. Just imagine this: A bunch of sleep deprived college kids lounging around in an auditorium, trying to keep ourselves awake until 1 am to hear the words being spoken. Was it difficult? Yes. Did we succeed? You better believe we did! Just imagine our triumph when Elder Dallin H. Oaks gave a talk that mentioned how even the desire to sleep can be overcome when necessary. A sleepy cheer arose from the student body. Quite humorous, if I do say so myself.

There was a group of about 4 of us that changed out of our church clothes that sat together. We joked it was because we were 'inactive.' Then, we realized that the entire branch was there, and everyone was still in Sunday attire...it became sufficiently more embarrassing, especially with the talk on Sabbath Day Observance. I ran down during the congregation's hymn to change my clothes, and came back to tease the rest of the group that was casually dressed...they told me to cast the beam out of my own eye before saying anything. Hahah! I was laughing pretty hard.

Picture time!

This is a group of us walking around on Sabbath before we ran into a very drunk French man that told us all about American Pop culture...I'd just like the caveat of how hilarious this was.

Snorkeling in Eilat! My first time ever!

Brother Muhlestein was sneaking around grabbing all of the students' feet to scare us. I turned around in time not to get scared, and to get an awesome picture.

After dinner at the Kibbutz, coming home from Eilat. We were fried, and Jared had just slipped on that hill and was bleeding openly from his leg. I didn't know that at the time of the picture, only that he had fallen and it looked funny...I felt bad for laughing later.

Overlooking the Sea of Galilee as we started our Galilee field trip.
